In the Long-lab, we study the genetic basis of quantitative variation for different phenotypes in different organisms. These include bristle number in Drosophila melanogaster flies, temperature adaptation in Escherichia coli bacteria, and eyespot size in Bicyclus anynana butterflies. We also do theoretical work on gene mapping and microarray analysis. Check out the lab's current projects on our RESEARCH page!
